This is a brief overview of the steps we follow when building house extensions. Although all properties and customers have unique requirements, here’s a taste of what you can expect when you hire us for building services.
Given how different one project can be from the next, we always offer our customers a free quote before we begin any work. Once you agree to the job, we’ll set out a payment plan and review the finer details of all drawings before confirming the quote.
We’ll start the project on the agreed date by performing an initial site clearance. From there, the following steps will vary depending on the project’s needs. Typically, we’ll first do any vital substructural and foundational work, such as loading out concrete floor beams and installing drainage systems. Once this has been completed, we’ll build all superstructural elements per design.
This could include all kinds of work, from brickwork and roofing to creating openings for windows and doors. We’ll then complete any fittings and fixtures as required, including any electrics and plumbing, as well as any cosmetic work such as external rendering and painting and decorating.
At the end of the project, we’ll go over a snag list to check whether all work is completed to the necessary specifications before clearing away any mess or debris from the construction site. Lastly, we’ll present the completed project to the customer and accept payment.
